Choosing my maternity health care provider had more to do with availability after discovering I was pregnant and scheduling my first appointment with a doctor within my health plan network and didn’t feel like I actually chose someone that I researched. It was my first pregnancy and I was excited and nervous and just trying to figure out what to do and see how quickly I could be seen to make sure everything was okay.
